You’re in the right spot. I just needed a little change of scenery. Something a little more tropical perhaps on this 16th day of July (Happy Birthday, Mom!) where I find myself needing a sweater!
This little place that you see at the top of your page is a Lutheran church and a home for their pastor’s family all wrapped up in one very sturdy package. It’s been placed in Leogane, Haiti, a town that spreads for miles just southwest of Port Au Prince. My husband and I were there just about a year and a half ago sifting sand and hauling buckets. Our mark on this place was minute but the same cannot be said when considering it’s mark upon us. We are just in the planning stages of our second trip and I cannot wait!
(Speaking of which…do you remember the name of Your Girl or Your Boy? Please continue to pray for them, that fevers and pain subside and for ourselves, that we might find ways to be generous in prayer and in the sending of supplies.)
I love this little place.
Where do you go when you need a change of scenery?
