A year of writing a little bit of everything. Writers Write, Right?

I never ever ever know what to serve when we have guests. Really, ever. I go back and forth between wanting to serve a grand buffet and thinking perhaps something like our everyday meal plan is better. I struggle with decision making. (Insert husband shaking his head here.)

We have guests visiting us this weekend that have never before stayed in our home. We have dined with them numerous times, but this weekend have the opportunity to share several meals together.

So, I’m curious…

How does what is on your table change depending on who is seated around it?

Does one meal change significantly more than the others?

I want you to see life the way I see it. Often contradictory, seldom predictable, many times lovely, occasionally tragic, but every day filled with God's grace.

  1. I always make the things that I think are my best meals. Maybe not the fanciest but things that I know I consistently do well and my family always enjoys. I figure kids are a pretty safe judge of what is yummy…if they enjoy it and it isn’t from a box it’s probably safe 🙂

    • We went with spaghetti, tacos, and you must must grill during the summer. My best meals often include an oven though and I just couldn’t bring myself to do much of that this weekend.

your comments are better than eating chocolate in a hammock on a 70 degree day...almost
